Ringgold : Georgia
Ringgold is a city located in Catoosa County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,422. The city is the county seat of Catoosa County6.
Ringgold is where the locomotive General stopped during the great locomotive chase on April 12, 1862. On March 14, 2002, fog played havoc with one of the worst pileups in history, 125 vehicles crashed on Interstate 75 and only 4 people passed away in one of the worst accidents in Ringgold’s history.
Also infamous for a plaque in county courthouse with the 10 Commandments, with one blank plaque next to the 10, so as to be tolerant!
